dailyeatings or something, yeah something

It seems that the only real difference between living a lifestyle where I eat chinese fast food out of a styrofoam box 4 nights a week and one where I not only regularly prepare home-cooked 3 course dinners but excitedly wake up early in the morning just so I can prepare a lunch to go is having a dishwasher. If I had only known that 4 years ago when I first moved to Chicago, I would’ve picked a different apartment, and a couple take-out joints would be out of business now.

That’s hilarious. I’ve forgotten what a dishwasher is even like. Not having one is just motivation for me now to reduce all of my meals into the smallest possible number of containers, and to wash everything immediately so nothing cakes on.

Really? That’s very interesting… and exciting because I have gone most of my life without, but wanting a dishwasher. I can’t wait to move into a house with one and see how much time it saves. Then we can eat and talk about food even more!

@John The freedom to be adventurous in my cooking, to use a variety of containers and implements and any number of pots and pans has been the greatest positive influence in both my ability and desire to cook a wider range of healthier, from-scratch foods. That wouldn’t ever have been possible when I was washing dishes by hand, in a tiny sink.

@Debbie Actually, I’m predicting once you and Karl get a dishwasher, you’ll just eat takeout and tv dinners constantly.
