Hi Mom. Just calling to let you guys know, I feel a lot better today. I’m eating fine, and– uh, what’s with all the noise? Where are you guys?
”Your father and I are at Sam’s Club, picking up some food. We’re hosting the monthly study group breakfast tomorrow.”
OK. Sounds nice. Anyway, I’m doing fine, not feeling sick anymore. You don’t need to worry about me.
”Did you eat today?”
Yeah, I’m fine. I ate breakfast and lunch, and felt fine. Actually, you know, I’m really hungry right now.
[In the background, my Dad asks: So what are we cooking for dinner tonight?]
”Your dad wanted to know what was for dinner. I told him we’re just going to go walk around the store a couple more times.”
Wait, what?
”They are giving out all these samples – I told your Dad that we should just walk around and eat them until we’re full.” [giggles]
Really? Wow, Mom, that’s…
”Funny, right?”
You know what you’re eating, right?
”What’s that?”
