About

I am a 20-something Asian-American and recent transplant to Chicago, where I work at a non-profit doing internet-y things. Previously, I lived for a number of years in Gainesville, Florida, where I attended the University of Florida and later worked as a neuroscience researcher in an MRI lab. I’m still trying to get used to the cold, the staggeringly high sales tax, living by myself, and being the only person of a certain age and background in all of my classes.

This is the umpteenth version of dailyeatings, the latest in an inglorious series of attempts at legitimate self-expression dating back to the late 1990’s. Periodic and alternating bouts of feverish improvement, attentive and studious updates, apathy and neglect, and finally the now-yearly attempt to quit has led to this most recently evolved iteration. Grad school prevents me from actually committing time to obsess over every pixel and css div and php function call like I used to, so I’ve come to rely on wordpress and flickr to manage the content, and a handful of layouts from here and there to make it look pretty.

This site was mostly made on a rapidly aging G5 iMac. If it doesn’t render very well on your computer, I apologize, but only in that half-hearted smirking way that lets you know without a doubt that I’m a Mac zealot, and that I think that your computer, operating system, browser, the whole lot, is probably junk. Besides, the XHTML should be valid throughout. So there.
